After shooting in Paris throughout the Summer, season 4 of Lupin has officially wrapped filming and is set for a 2026 debut. In a new short video, Omar Sy can be seen calling his dog in the show named J’Accuse (rated one of the best on-screen dogs by The Guardian!), who has a mounted camera on his back and winds his way through the set before jumping into the arms of Sy.
It’s been a busy season of filming over the past few months, with numerous big set pieces filmed out in the open across the city of Paris. In late August, we snapped up exclusive shots of Omar Sy riding horseback through the streets of Paris.
Upon its renewal earlier this year, Omar Sy said, “I often say that Lupin is an extraordinary plaything. I find great joy in it every time. Together with Netflix, Carrousel, and Gaumont, we’ve invested the time needed to raise our ambitions and deliver even more surprises and enjoyment, both for us and the audience. The fresh energy from Carrousel Studios aligns perfectly with this vision. I’m eager to share the new episodes with as many people as possible.”
With filming now wrapped on Lupin, Sy won’t be able to catch his breath straight away, given that he’ll now be heading to Ireland and Morocco in the coming months as filming on the new series Extraction begins. In that new series, Sy will be playing the role of Kalidou Diallo, a mercenary tasked with a dangerous mission to rescue hostages in Libya. Filming kicks off (or may have already kicked off) and wraps up in the coming months. Sy is joined by May Calamawy, Waleed Zuaiter, Ed Speleers, and Natalie Dormer.
Season 4 of Lupin will consist of 8 45-minute episodes with Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Soufiane Guerrab, Shirine Boutella, Théo Christine, and Laïka Blanc-Francard among the main cast.
Sy and Louis Leterrier serve as showrunners with Edouard Salier, Everardo Gout, and Hugo Gelin on board as directors, and the season is written by Mathilde Arnaud, Jean-Yves Arnaud, Florent Meyer, Tigran Rosine, and Penny Ba.
When will Lupin season 4 be on our screens? In an updated guide of the upcoming French series and movies on Netflix, the title is listed under the 2026 window. Given typical post-production times, we’d guess somewhere between Spring and Summer.
